What are your roles/duties in the club?

I manage the social media channels and postings of Penpals for Seniors while collaborating with our VP Medias to generate exciting content to share with all of you!

Why did you join this initiative?

I joined this initiative because it was an opportunity for me to help brighten the days of the elderly and advocate for their well-being. I read a news article at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that spoke about the detrimental health effects of the pandemic on our senior citizens. Many of whom are isolated in care homes and lack regular visitations from their loved ones. The inability to connect with others is dreadful considering as humans, socializing is a basic need. As such, I wanted to help address this issue of loneliness among seniors and make a positive difference in their lives!

I have fed a giraffe a leaf!
